Oliver Eckel has over 20 years industry-related, hands-on experience in the technology, telecommunications, insurance, online gaming, defense, payment processing, banking, manufacturing
and public sector. Prior to becoming CEO of Cognosec, he gathered management experience as the Chief Security Officer of Wave Solutions/Bank Austria and subsequently as the Head of Security and Audit at bwin AG. He is a certified security professional and a known authority on strategic, innovative and practical Government, Risk Management and Compliance (GRC) solutions in the gaming and payment processing industry. He has pioneered effective solutions and has been a source of innovative input to vendors in the security and GRC domain. His experience includes steering, adapting and releasing resources to safeguard corporate assets and shareholder interests. He is fluent in German, English, and French and has a working knowledge of Russian.

Director of PCI and Payment Services, David Jenkins (BEng Hons, CISA, QSA)

David manages the Cognosec GmbH PCI Practice and is currently responsible for implementing PCI DSS Programs with Cognosec GmbH clients. He has 18 years of experience within business strategy, audit and consulting, product management as well as product development at leading technology, audit and consulting companies. Prior to his role at Cognosec GmbH he has performed large international PCI DSS, PA DSS and P2PE (Point to Point Encryption) Audits. He has managed Board and CxO level consulting engagements at banks and financial institutions, payment service providers, gaming companies and merchants in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and the US. David has industry leading expertise in delivering security programs, assisting companies in improving their technology portfolios and risk management, business continuity, disaster recovery and data loss prevention processes and is ITIL ITSM certified. He regularly speaks to various executive audiences and corporate security (Unternehmenssicherheit) governance (Führungssturkturen) forums across industries and regions. David frequently presents to the ISACA German Chapter and the German Institute of Internal Revision (DIIR) and participates in ISACA German Chapter focus groups on compliance issues. He is fluent in English and German.

Principal Auditor, Sebastian Strobl, Msc (CISA, GWAPT)

Sebastian Strobl has over 10 years practical experience in industry and delivering professional services in information security, application security, secure software development and IT auditing. He is a certified professional in information systems auditing, web and application security training and holds a masters degree in information management and security. A manager with detailed knowledge of security tools, technologies and best practices, he is recognized for delivering value-adding IT audits and for the creation and deployment of innovative solutions to mitigate risks in protecting networks, application systems and safeguarding information assets and shareholder interests. He specializes in delivering effective assurance and consultancy services with a focus on application and web-security architecture and integration with payment processing value chains.

Oliver Van Assche is an expert in the area of information security with over 10 years of experience in the electronic integration of directive, detective, preventive and corrective measures to mitigate identified corporate risks, safeguard corporate information assets and to respond to negative change created by an incident or disaster. He is recognized by key global vendors in the security and GRC industry for providing key input into product innovation to ensure secure product solutions. He is a certified security and IT audit professional. He continues to provide innovative solutions to support clients in the payment processing, telecommunications, public sector, online entertainment, banking and financial services sector.
